To be candid many Canadians are worried and confused on trying to figure out if they qualify for CERB and how it relates to EI, if they are eligible. Often there is conflicting information. My letter to the Minister will hopefully provide some clarity to these questions.

@dehbergy Seems to clearly state ‘The eligibility criteria are as follows, per the Government of Canada requirements’. 1st requirement is that it has to be a business deposit account. Lots of people run their business with a personal account & pay their taxes but may not be eligible.

This is excellent news.

I am hearing from citizens who work 1, 2 even 3 jobs to make ends meet. Many are now in a situation where they have lost 1 or more jobs but are still working at 1 job making them ineligible for EI or it appears CERB. They are in a financial crisis w/little prospect of other jobs.

On the Team Canada front I am going to share a few ideas that Canadian citizens have put forward for discussion, recognizing the need for more timely support and ensuring citizens do not fall through the cracks:…… cc @Bill_Morneau

Everyday we wait with baited breath on the release of new Provincial stats. related to the latest #covid infections, deaths & recoveries. Everyday we see new numbers. People want & deserve "modelling" but the modelling needs to be accurate at a time when testing is still limited.
